Alright, the lack of mods and our subreddits getting flooded with indian scammers is getting annoying. I thought id type this list up for spotting scammers so people don’t get scammed as often.

1. Very poor english -Almost all of these scammers don’t use english as their first language. i’ve seen horny spelled as “horey” etc. and the sentences barely make sense. they also use the same buzzwords “DTF” is an example.

2. They’re all the same age -Every single one of these posts conveniently have the same age. I know it’s very exciting for a older male to potentially have a hot, sexy, young 20 something year old that they can possibly get in the sheets with. Scammers know this so they put their age at 22. the most common i’ve seen is 22 and 24 for some reason.

3. Mass Posting -Scammers will post in any subreddit they can get their grimy hands hands on. you can go to any one of these scammers reddits and see posts for oklahoma, illinois, washington, so on and so on. one of the strategies is to try and lure out anyone who will fall for it.

4. Complete opposite of mass posting -I’ve seen scammers using a different tactic where they only maybe post to one or two reddits, get some karma, then once they lure someone in, delete their post and try a different region of the US.

5. they have their snapchat in their name. -scammers want you to try and get you off reddit, so when you ask them to verify that they’re real they can send you a stolen video of the girl they are impersonating.

6. other scamming tactics -i’ve seen scammers approach me and say something along the lines of “we can meet up, but i need gas money” “you’re kinda far from me, let’s meet in the middle and go half on a hotel” “i need to pay for a baby sitter or caretaker” “you only have to pay for my address cause that’s personal information” “bless my menu and we can meet” another big indicator of a scammer is if it’s cake day for the redditor. if you click on their profile and see a tiny slice of cake by the name, that account was made that day and is probably a scammer. another is they usually don’t change the pregenerated name that reddit gives you when you make a account.

7 -i can’t believe i have to say this, but if you intend to pay for sex, don’t give anyone money till you see them in person.
