2024 Highland mods
Post Body

I recently bought the new model of the Highland offset, and I cannot seem to find any information on how to get the airflow I’m wanting to achieve. All videos I’ve found are using the model with the door on the side instead of the pull out ash drawer. I know that I’m wanting to relocate the stack to a lower level, extend it, and insulate the fire box… but I am unsure if I should use a baffle and if I do if I should send it up or have it flow down. Add in that with the side baffle being the slider instead of a traditional open hole I’m not so sure that the airflow will be sufficient enough to achieve the clean burn with low heat that I want to achieve. I’ve spent months researching smokers, and jumped at the chance to own the highland… and now I’m starting to wonder if I am going to grow to regret this decision based on the design changes that I didn’t take into consideration until after I made the purchase.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, especially considering that most of the sites I’ve found that have mods are all outdated and do not include the newer models.
