Having an STD does not make you dirty. Therefore, using the word “clean” is offensive

I am not dirty. I am a sexual person who trusted the wrong guy, one who either didn’t know his STI status, or didn’t care who he gave it to. Or he was afraid of being judged by all you “clean” people.

Herpes is 99% preventable when the H’r practices suppressive therapy. Using condoms, may not cover all areas so therefore is not 100% safe. A carrier can shed the virus asymptomatically.

It is controllable but I do not take it for casual sex because it can damage the kidneys & cause hair thinning. When I am in a relationship, whether an exclusive FWB or a committed relationship, I will take it.

My last FWB was comfortable enough to ditch the condoms after I’d been on Valtrex for 2 weeks.

So if you tell me you are clean & DDF , you are being redundant. Disease & disease free. Just leave it at that.
