Does the fact that you end up swiping left on the same person eight times diminish your desire to use this app?

I don't understand why that app developers can't figure this out. There's no point in me swiping left on the same person eight times. But yet that person keeps showing up in my feed.
I use the block button some of the time but geez it's a little bit too much work don't you think?
If you ask me I think it drives down user engagement because you show up to the app, see the same people who were there last time you showed up and get tempted to uninstall the app.
