So apparently the DMV area has a lot of pent up desire to hangout with internet strangers, because over forty of you guys responded (which is awesome, don't get me wrong). Given the overwhelming response, I do want to clarify a few things, particularly for those of you coming in from out of town:

1. This isn't going to be a Asheville/Portland style meetup We're going to probably meet at a public location and split up for food and then get our drink on. While I would be open to planning out a giant east coast meetup in the future, I would need a lot more planning time to make sure that you guys get the most bang for your buck. I'm not trying to be rude, but I'd like to avoid any "wtf I drove out here for this?" kind of moments.
2. Do not assume I will have room for you at my place. If I have verbally told you - "Yes, I will have room for you at my place", then you're fine. Assume the same for anyone else who is willing to host people.
3. If you can house other people for the night, let me know. I would hate to exclude people who need to drive home from being able to drink with us. If you're a DC local who can house someone for the night, then you're awesome and I owe you eskimo kisses.

Finally, if you have any suggestions of places get food / bars to go to, please post them here. I'll take any suggestions into consideration before giving a meetup location / list of places to expect to find us in the event you join the fun late.

In the spirit of not flooding the subreddit with meetup threads, I'll post a final time a few days before the 22nd with an itinerary.
