After I submitted my profile for critique, I made a few changes and got a couple new pictures as suggested. I guess the problem isn't my profile after all, it's my messages. I see multiple views from the same person, but they don't reply when I send them a message! I'm trying to keep it interesting, I reference something in their profile, I ask legitimate discussion-worthy questions, but I get nothing in return. It is very disheartening. Even the guys with the green light don't bother to t reply. I don't do the bar scene so online dating would work better for me, but I'm ready to give up at this point!

As examples of messages I have sent: One guy was a word nerd, I professed to the same liking and asked whether he enjoyed linguistics as a form of expression or as a cultural insight. His profile indicated that he was well-educated so I didn't see this as too random of a question.

One guy kept referencing his awesome beard, so I complimented it.

One guy shared a favorite movie of mine, so I tried initiating a discussion about it and similar movies.

I get occasional messages from creepers and losers, but not from someone I've messaged in the last two months. Maybe there is a glitch?

Any insight is appreciated.
