Whatâs up yâall! I am seeking some advice. Iâm fairly new to Ohuhu markers, and coloring in general, actually. So Iâve done a couple practice pieces, and decided I wanted to try something more grand. This character is Gouki (âAkumaâ in the US) from the Street Fighter video game franchise. This is my own version of his design, just for this drawing.
When I did the initial drawing, I went lightly with a 2H pencil and this is Bristol vellum paper. After the pencil work was done, I went back over it with a Micron pen. I let it dry for a day, just to be extra safe, then I went over the whole thing multiple times with a kneaded eraser, both in a swiping motion and a rolling motion for several passes.
It took me a couple days before I could get back to it, but today I finally started coloring with my Ohuhu markers, only to hit a spot where there was apparently some unerased pencil and it smeared! I can cover it up, no problem, but my question is, how do yâall approach the pencil erasing thing to make sure this sort of problem doesnât happen? I have experienced this with other drawings, but they were drawings that I hadnât been as careful about, so it wasnât a big deal.
