After a hard beginning of the year, I helped with a string of pregnancies with 2 couples and a SMBC. The first couple had been trying for a decade to have kids, and the donor route was their last resort. Luckily the wife and I were able to meet in the middle (they lived 3.5 hrs away), and were able to do the deed. Everyone was ecstatic as we weren't sure this time would work (I had worked with them last year, but she found out she wasn't ovulating without medication).
The SMBC simply wanted a child without a relationship. Thankfully we were really close to each other, so it only took 2 cycles to confirm pregnancy. She's been keeping me up to date and is 6 weeks along.
The other couple could not physically have kids as they were both women, but they had a strong desire to raise a family. To our surprise, it only too one cycle for her to become pregnant, with it confirmed jus this past weekend. It's all made this whole year worth it, and I'm glad I stuck with being a donor and bringing happiness to these new families.
