It might seem intuitive that a donor/recipient contract might fall under the privileges that any other private contract might, but this is not the case. There's very few ways to assure a contract relinquishing rights to a child is legally grounded, and it usually involves insemination via a clinic or specialist. Most states, including Ohio, will act in the best interest of the child, no matter if the child was conceived through sex or artificially. Any cases in which a recipient needs government aid could lead back to the donor, having a contract could actually create an easy way to connect the dots. Needless to say, it can get very messy quickly if donor and recipient don't have a good rapport and can communicate. Make sure the topic of involvement is clear.
