I'm not offended by it at all, in fact I want to join them. I pay around $50 a month in turnpike fees, and I like the idea of avoiding traffic cameras.
How does this work? I'm in the Cleveland area and constantly see cars with no plate showing, or with their plate taped to the rear window even if its tinted. I used to think it was to keep temp-tags dry but I see it with metal plates too.
Is it legal to display your tag behind a tinted window where it's barely visible if at all?
Am I a sucker for displaying my bright white tag front and center for everyone to see?
I've been pulled over several times in my life for expired stickers, so police are definitely watching our plates. It feel like such a common occurrence that police have stopped enforcing it. I doubt a cop in Northeast Ohio could go 5 minutes in traffic without seeing it.
Again I'm not offended by it at all, I just don't wanna be the only sheep following the rules and paying camera tolls.
Update: Apparently it is a violation, it's just not being enforced (until I start doing it ofc.)
