I am very sorry to know that you have come across the same issue with DHL Express. As I have mentioned in my previous comment, this can happen from time-to-time for some parcels being shipped to Canada and we are trying our best to look into a possible solution for this.
The article that I have provided does answer your question in regard to the Tax/Duty charges that have incurred to your order. To put it specifically:
"In economics, a duty is a kind of tax levied by a state. It is often associated with customs, in which context they are also known as tariffs or dues. The term is often used to describe a tax on certain items purchased abroad."
The total amount of these "processing" or "transaction" fees are all amounted under these charges issued by DHL. With that being said, I'd definitely like to help you out with this and will send you a DM to talk about it!

Thanks for sharing, and we're sorry to hear that you got charged extra fees. They are not imposed nor collected by us (RhinoShield), but by each country's import authorities, so we do not have control over whether your package will get charged. This is explained on our shipping policy page on our website.
This article by the Government of Canada explains a little more in-depth about the import regulations to your country.
We totally understand that it's never fun to get charged extra by surprise, and we would like to further assist you with this, please check your DM! :)
