What are some proven methods, aside from hashtags, for boosting engagement on your posts?

Things I've tried; engaging banners, free trials, music, stories.
I've occasionally posted my link on socials, but typically NSFW links decrease engagement on socials, so it's a double-edged sword. I see that you can kind of reposts Fansly posts, but I'm not sure what the purpose really is. Wouldn't it just create duplicate posts?
