When I set up shared mailboxes, I prefer to block sign in and just assign them to users as a delegate. Then it just pops up in their Outlook and all is well. However, there are two use cases where this doesnât work and I have to add it into their Outlook as a separate account, which means I have to enter in the credentials and therefore am unable to block sign in. I still use MFA, but this isnât preferred. The use cases are as follows:
User wants to have a signature tied to the shared mailbox. This doesnât work as intended when you are just a delegate and want to switch back and forth and have multiple people using the shared mailbox. It will just save that one userâs signature.
User wants to default âFromâ to come from shared mailbox. You canât do this when adding it as a delegate. It just reverts back to the user.
It seems like this is by design. Anyone else face these issues?
