I'm worried about my College

I am an incoming 2nd year BSIT Student, I'm planning to transfer next year to a State University (because di ako pinayagan this year coz of financial and trust issues). To everyone who transferred as college students, any advices? Kasi I heard na if lumipat ka, baka paulitin ka sa 1st (which is ayokong mangyari or maghahabol kalang ng mga kulang na subjects). I don't want to be in this place anymore :(
