Parang ngayon lang nag connect ang dots na poser pala talaga ang old classmate ko. Di ko alam if bunga ba to ng inggit o makapal lang talaga ang mukha nya pero ginagaya nya ako o ang family ko to make it seem like he's this smart, rich guy when in fact, well...he isn't.

Earlier this year, bigla syang nagmessage sakin at nagtanong kung magkano ba ang rate ko as a VA. I immediately told him na di ako VA, and while my full time job was as a technical manager, I was also taking side gigs for $30/hr. Nothing huge kasi around 10 hrs lang a month (if even) pero maganda pa ring supplementary na income. I then asked if he was still running his company (which he posted about a while back) and he was being evasive about it but told me na he's been working a CSR job for the past X years (so while he was still posting about that company).

Tapos, a few days later, biglang may $30/hr insert tech specialization na rate na nilagay nya sa FB nya, of all places. Napataas ako ng kilay kasi kakasabi nya lang sakin na 40k lang nae-earn nya as a CSR. Pero hinayaan ko lang. If true then great, if hindi then cringe lang but it doesn't affect me anyhow.

Ilang months later, napansin ko na nag inquire sya sa fb page ng business ng parents ko asking about rates and amenities. Again, tumaas na naman kilay ko kasi nagtatanong sya for a small studio unit pero may live in partner and anak naman sya, and last I heard nagpapagawa daw sya ng bahay somewhere sa Manila. Again, hinintay ko lang kasi may pattern naman si koya.

Lo and behold, gumawa sya ng bagong page for a real estate office kuno. Na wala namang address. Then he posted a picture as if nakagawa sya ng bungalow and for rent daw, for a little higher than our rate. Thing is, the reason why our business can charge those rates is because we're at a prime location, while "his" bungalow is at a far flung part of the city.

I also had a feeling it wasn't his. With how little he was making in his old job, and how many expenses he has, it doesn't add up. Di ko pa na confirm but apparently his new job is at a brokerage, so technically he's working for a broker. And yung mga pics nya with new houses seemingly pretending they're his...I'm pretty sure they're his clients' properties.

I think what really hit the nail in the coffin though was when I asked him for help with my newly purchased Starlink. I remembered kasi around a year ago na he was bragging about buying a Starlink and how fast it is. Kaya sya ang naalala ko. I swear, napa 🤡 nalang ako nung sinabi nya na wala syang alam kasi na try nya lang daw ang Starlink at a place he was vacationing in.

Dun ko na talaga na realize na poser pala talaga sya. Na he makes it seem like he's hyper successful in FB when the reality is he isn't all that. And the dumbest part is that he's using me as inspiration to make up his lies kasi I don't reveal shit about my work or businesses on FB.

I mean, you gotta do what you gotta do to get that cash but man. Career posers are real pala talaga.

I'm planning on setting up a new business soon...I guess I can expect for him to message me again when he catches wind of it 😳
