I feel so disappointed with the gay community wherever I look or go.
Imagine the older gays tirelessly fighting against years of discrimination so that we could live more freely, without fear. Only to witness that now, we are facing a different kind of oppression—one that comes from within. Internalized homophobia, toxic competitiveness, and the glorification of cheating and superficial connections. It feels like the sense of unity that we once had is crumbling under the weight of these self-destructive tendencies.
Yes, foremothers. This is what you fought for.
