Sad reality. I have experienced first hand how most people change their attitude, personality, and how they talk to you… when they see or know of your physical attributes.
When I was still in the ‘normal BMI’, people really treated me better. I was getting more attention, finally seen by others without putting much effort.
Now that I gained weight, I am on the opposite end. I barely get noticed by others, or if I get noticed, it’s only about my weight. I also feel like people lose interest quickly after knowing that you’re bigger than them; or you’re currently doing diet.
If anything, I am trying to lose weight for myself. I am tired of feeling this way. I am tired of always feeling tired, and I dislike that feeling of breathlessness after a flight of stairs. I also want my old clothes to fit me again, some with price tags even. So that is my motivation.
I just wish there were people who would treat you just the same– no matter if you’re fat or not.
