Why do some people have blatant disregard for order and organization?
Post Body

I spent A LOT on organizing our home. Time and money.

I have OCD so it helps me with relieving anxiety, stress, and so I would avoid panic attacks when things are in disarray.

I've put labels on jars, bottles, bins. Everything is color coordinated, and are strategically placed just so the system I've placed is utilized and is easily maintained.

What I don't fucking understand is, why put stuff in jars other than what it's for?

Like why put tuyo in a jar labeled daing?

Why put regular coffee in a jar labeled "cappuccino"?

Why put random kitchen stuff in the bin labeled "snacks"?

WHILE THEY HAVE THEIR OWN PLACE IN THE KITCHEN???

What I do not understand is why people just throw in the cutlery in the drawer, when there's a place assigned for everything... why?

Is it that fucking hard?

Is it THAT DIFFICULT?

I know some of you may think, "Then just do it yourself, rather than complain."

It irks me. It makes me gnash my teeth. It gives me anxiety. It stresses me out.

When I can't find the stuff I need when I need them because they're not where they're supposed to be--where I've assigned them to be.

I cook, A LOT and my kitchen is my zone. I have organized it to be as efficient as possible. So as the bathroom, and other parts of the house.

I have a place for everything, and the things you need to cook are within reach. The pantry is assigned and used with the "first in, first out" system.

There are no expired items in our pantry, we always have stock of important stuff, and enough supplies to last us for a month or two without going out (except for perishables, of course).

I even organized our fridge. Produce in organizers, trays, and are kept as to what is recommended to prolong their shelf life.

All that effort just so we could maximize our budget in this economy. I provide, I budget, I keep everything in order.

So why can't they just cut me some slack?

I ain't asking for much. I've told them how the systems work, how it makes things easier. But they still won't keep it working.

Every now and then, I get lightheaded because of the mess, the disarray.

I cried one time because of anger I can't let out. I was just too annoyed to even get mad.

I am annoyed when they just stack all the things, unorganized, just a mishmash of plates, bowls, saucers in the dish drainer.

When they just let the plates and cutlery pile up in the sink, with all the leftovers. Not even an effort to put all the leftovers in a sealed container for compost, put away the spoons, forks, knives in the drainer I specifically bought for them to be put away whilst they're dirty, and have the plates at least rinsed so the rice won't get hard, the sauces won't harden, and the oil, be removed.

I honestly don't like having to wash my mugs and glasses again after I get them from the cupboard, because of that one time I freaked out because there was remnants of oil in my coffee.

Or that they at least don't put the glasses and the mugs in the sink, because I got stabbed by broken glass one time because someone "forgot" there were glasses in there.

The have this utter disregard for my efforts to keep the house clean, efficient, and organized.

Just thinking about it makes my shoulders tense. sigh

Why can't they appreciate how better things are when they don't waste time cleaning, but spend a fraction of it just maintaining what's been started?

It really just pushes my buttons.
