Help! Need words and feedback from you guys, kasi nakukunsensya ako and I'm literally shocked and sad.

This morning, while I was driving (around 2-3kph), I saw from afar a stray dog, may kailiitan siya. Since masikip yung kalsada, nagmenor ako thinking na the dog will move as he hear the car's noise... to my surprise, I felt something I ran over. I immediately stopped, asked for the owner and about to bring the dog to the nearest vet. Wala daw may-ari, at mukhang inaantok daw kaya di agad nakaiwas. I was devastated as I witnessed the last breath of the dog. I cried. One bystander who offered a plastic bag said na pumupunta lang daw dun sa area na yun yung aso kasi may lalaking nagpapakain daw ng mga aspin sa area. Since I was also short of time, I offered to bury the dog in a lot near the area and asked the bystanders to let whoever the guy know to get in touch with me about the stray dog. (To which I've realized na baka perahan ako or what, claiming to be a fake owner...) Anyhow, buong biyahe ko I was shocked... sad... and really feeling numb... thinking what I could've done instead. RIP little aspin. 🙏
