Aren’t you even aware of basic social etiquette rules? I mean it’s fine if you excuse yourself, feel apologetic, and are actually expecting an important call. But to chat with your friends on the phone while we’re having a good conversation is just downright disrespectful. Can’t that wait for later? Go talk to them instead if you don’t find me interesting at all. I should have just walked out the sooner you picked up the damn phone. I wish I had the courage to do that. But I gave you chances to redeem yourself.
The next time someone does this to me, I’d call out their bullshit, leave a disastrous trail in my wake, and walk away.
