Looking to start living off grid

Hey, I grew up in Michigan and plan to move back. Mostly because the land is cheaper and I miss the snow. Planning to sell my Florida home and move back before I turn 30.
Any advice on best part of Michigan, mitten and up, to buy land and build my tiny house. Preferably something with a great view and at least 1 acre.
Even if it's not totally off grid, I'll take close to it!
Also don't think it's terrible if 1 to 3 other ppl lived nearby or wanted to join.
