How might one power a standard-sized refrigerator using solar panels?
Post Body

I live in Las Vegas and there is a resource called The Solidarity Fridge. It's a makeshift food pantry outside of someone's residence for those less fortunate. The owners claim that keeping the fridge on is about $200 a month. It's literally outside in the heat all day, so it's working overtime in 110-120 degree weather.

Is there a way to power this from a solar panel? I'm new to this realm and not an electrician, but I would like to try to help make this a bit more of a sustainable solution for them. How much would such an undertaking cost? Please help me point them in the right direction. TIA!

Your battery bank is undersized significantly. Even if it did start it could only run your fridge compressor for an hour.

3x200ah batteries would make more sense
