How do you add Facebook friends on Oculus Quest?

I thought it would be super straight forward, but nobody on my Facebook friends list is showing up when I try to search for them. Some straight up gave me their usernames, and they don't show up when I search for them. My Facebook account is connected to my Oculus account.
I can't use the Oculus app on my phone either: whenever I go to the social section, it crashes.
Anyone having the same issue, or maybe a solution?
