So I have a Lenovo legion 7, and have on order an Ax210 6e wireless card coming. I also have the following router:
NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6E Router (RAXE500) - Security Features, 12-Stream Gigabit Router AXE11000 Tri-Band Wireless Speed (Up to 10.8Gbps), New 6GHz Band, Coverage up to 3,500 sq. ft, 60 Devices
Now previously I'd never had luck connecting my quest 3 to my laptop (steam link or airlink). Airlink I was able to do the initial virtual desktop thing but never actually run any games. Steamlink id get once in awhile to load a game but then just a frame per like..... 30 seconds and would crash out. But usually just clicking from the quest "lobby" would crash it. Now, with the 6e router and that new card coming should this hopefully help get this going? Router isn't very far away and of course both the computer and quest will be able to utilize the 6e id assume which Ive heard is required. I do have an xbone x series and PS5 connected via Ethernet however I am sure this router can run those at 1gbps while maintaining the higher otherwise? (It has multiple 1gbps Ethernet ports AND one 2.5gbps port that are stated to be able to be used simultaneously.
Please tell me that this should work. If this actually REQUIRES more than this, such as dedicated access points etc it just seems ridiculously complicated for a standard user and that it would have to be advertised as or state somewhere in packaging or manual. And I don't see that.
Thank you all in advance. And to those of you having it work, I'd love to hear your setups. Especially if you aren't using extra hardware.
