Hey there. I bought my very first VR gear few days ago, a Quest 3. And the first game I bought was into the radius on Steam (I am already a steam guy for years).
I struggled with the streaming quality of steam VR (compression and lags) and read about Virtual desktop is a go-to as it runs better in many scenarios. So I did it. Set the start parameter of the game to -vr=oculus and started in that mode. Its a little better but still have lags in sound, visuals, motion and compression. When I turn around the picture builds up fast from black void. Its fast but it's definitely noticable.
Both PC and Quest 3 are wifi connected to WIFI-6 (AX) 5.0 Ghz. It this already the answer or any hints to get it smoother? What I've noticed on top.. when I turn on the cinema view in virtual desktop, the picture is so clear and crips like on PC as I am familar with. No such this compression artefacts and the resolution is like 1:1 like on PC with 2k display.
Regards.
