usb 3.2 type c port being detected as usb 2 tried everything please help

really weird situation, so i got kuject cable, plugged straight into motherboard (asus b450 gaming 2) and it says its usb 2 but then plugged it with usb-a adapter into usb-a and it says usb 3, but i want to use type c since it has more power than usb-a, i tried everything. went into bios, tried updating oculus app, flipping cable, restarting both pc and quest 2 and more. i dont know what to do any ideas?
