Hello all. I have a bit of a question and normally I'm good to sort this stuff but I'm struggling a bit. It's around Battery performance on Intelligent Octopus Go. Here are the details and thank you for any insights.
For some time we have not been able to switch to Intelligent Octopus Go and have been on the Traditional Octopus Go. This was down to us having 2 EVs, one compatible and a charger that was not compatible. That is a thing of the past as the Zappi is now in Beta.
So thinking how the system works I can see the following. Points 1 2 seem to be all good but point 3 is my concern.
1) Summer Solar into the GE Battery and then to car. 2) Overnight schedule from Octopus to charge in off peak. 3) Octopus say there is power during the day and tell the Zappi to charge the car. The Zappi will not care if this is from solar, battery or grid and will charge the car. Therefore if there is no/low solar generation then the Zappi will draw from the battery.
Is this correct? Does anyone else have any experience of this? What can be set to stop the drain from the daytime charging?
