I have an idea that is not entirely original, but I believe it has potential, and I'm actually capable of building it: a networking platform based on users’ Vault. This concept of connecting people through their methods of organizing knowledge and intellectual interests is fairly common in various forms, but if it's been done with entire vaults, I haven't heard of it (and I would like to).

Here's what I'm thinking as a feature roadmap:

Phase 1: Basic Setup and Privacy

• Profile and Vault Integration: Users create profiles and can upload or link their vaults in various formats, with first support for Obsidian. A plugin is probably the best way to go, but while my technical knowledge is vast, I don't know how to do that (yet)
• Basic Privacy Controls Simple booleans (share, don't share) , private by default
• Basic Matching Algorithm: Start with a simple algorithm that matches users based on keywords and general themes in their vaults.

Phase 2: Enhanced Interaction and User Experience

• Interactive Dashboard: Develop a dashboard that shows potential matches with visual aids such as thematic overlaps and network diagrams.
• Communication Tools: Implement basic messaging and forum functionalities to facilitate interaction between users. (This can be done by integrating with some of the excellent APIs that already exist)
• Improved Privacy Controls Share by folder

Phase 3: Advanced Matching and Collaborative Tools

• Advanced Matching Algorithm: Incorporate natural language processing to enhance the matching algorithm, making it capable of understanding deeper contextual connections and complementary knowledge areas.
• Collaborative Projects: Introduce features that allow users to collaborate directly within the platform on shared vault entries or research projects.
• Improved Privacy Controls Share by folder, and by user

Phase 4: Extensive Integration and Community Building

• Privacy and Security Enhancements: Implement advanced security measures including end-to-end encryption and more granular privacy controls.
• Research and Study Groups: Allow users to form groups or communities with communal vaults, tailored to specific research topics or broader areas of interest.
• Improved Privacy Controls Share by folder, user, and group

Phase 5: Continuous Improvement and Extension

• Feedback and Learning Mechanisms: Utilize machine learning to refine matching algorithms based on user feedback and interaction data.
• Extension and API Integration: Provide API access for third-party developers and integrate with academic databases and citation management tools, enhancing the platform's research capabilities.
• User-Driven Development: Regularly update the platform based on user feedback and feature requests, ensuring it remains responsive to the needs of its community.

While the idea of matching based on vaults is not new, I believe this phased implementation plan will help in creating a uniquely effective and user-centric platform.

But, I am missing something, I know it, there's only so many ideas I can have on my own.
