Hey I have been using Obsidian for a few months now and I have a couple templates for different purposes.
So far I have used formats similar to: https://betterhumans.pub/how-to-boost-your-productivity-for-scientific-research-using-obsidian-fe85c98c63c8
One thing I do is entering metadata at the top of the note with key:: value pairs.
It is not a YAML header but the double :: seems to do the same things?For example I can use them as columns in a dataview table
For example my book template:
### [[Books MOC]]
**Author**:: [[]]
**Started**::
**Finished**::
**Tags**:: #literature/books
**Grade**::
**Related**::
___
# {{title}}
___
References:
Created: {{date}} {{time}}
However I see so many people use and recommend YAML headers that I am not sure if I am missing out on good features.
Would it be worth it to change my templates and possibly all created notes to a YAML header insteaf of key::value?
Does anyone know of differences between both formats?
