Every time I post on OD, I am reminded that we have the most intelligent community on Reddit.com. You people are also the most enthusiastic about increasing your knowledge and sharing what you know about things like obscure pharma!
When I began Moderating for the group back in early 2019, I knew we had something big. At that time, we had 3k members, and the movie The Wolf of Wall St. was proving very popular. People interested in learning about the Quaaludes that caused the main characters to enter a "Paulsy-like" state began checking us out!
I remember responding to dozens of new posts every day. One of the commonalities I noticed was that the people had become interested in pharmaceuticals but had no one to talk to about it because people were being judgemental or accusing them of being "druggies!" So, they kept their interests in the closet. Once we started talking and seeing there were others with our same interests, things just blew up!
Here we are, five years later, and the group has grown 1900%. ViceUK interviewed members and created a feature story about us. We all learned about Barbiturates and how cool/dangerous they can be, as well as how to build your own obscurities collection. I don't know about you, but I have had the time of my life here, and it's primarily because of you people. You have helped me become a better person, and I am so grateful for every last one of you!
