During the 80's Brazil had an epidemic of Glucoenergan (fencanfamim) use, a stimulant from Merck. The injections were available in the pharmacies, my father was a pharmacist and tell the history about a travel bus full of bus company's drivers stopping by his pharmacy to take "Gluco" shots. During jobs interviews with pharmacy assistants, a common practice was to ask the applicant to show the arms, meaning he didn't have any shot scars (originaly Glucoenergan was to IM use but people take it IV to fast act), because almost every pharmacy assistant back then were hoocked in the stuff. "Gluco" was descontinued somewhere during the middle 80's and nobody talks about it anymore. I only have one picture of it. Anybody ever heard about it?
