Getting high safely on Grayanotoxins

Since mad honey is a crap shoot and expensive I'm more interested in making labrador tea or a rhododendron extract that contains more grayanotoxins and less other toxins. I'm in Canada. Can I just make a tea with leaves from any old rhododendron or is this something that you can't get high off without harming oneself, in which case I'll put it on my end of life bucket list with chlorobutanol.
