Google recently joined in on the fun between Apple and Samsung's patent cases. Many many people have been opining on the case, and I was interested in how all of you view the situation.
Intellectual property rights are one of the major branching points between Objectivism and other philosophies, e.g. anarchism and some branches of libertarianism. Does Apple own the exclusive rights to pinch-to-zoom technology? Is Samsung wrong to look at Apple's design and learn from it? Is this merely an issue with poorly written patent law?
I'm currently undecided on IP and patent laws, so I would love to see your opinions.
