Does anyone else think the sudden volume drop in Tip of the Iceberg is weird?

At 1:40-ish that weird pulse happens, and I can never get into it, it feels like it was a production mishap when it was released. Everytime I get into the groove, it always pulls me out of the moment because of how unnatural it feels to my ears. I can't be the only one who thinks the song would be better without it, can I?

I love the song, no doubt, but I always felt weird about this part of the song. It seems like no one ever mentions the fact that the song has that volume pulse, so maybe I'm just crazy.
