My Xbox Series S starts freezing up after playing too many games?

Post Body

Hi all, first time posting in this subreddit and was hoping to see if anyone else has this issue or someone more technically inclined may know what’s going on. I have ran into this issue about 3 times now, where I’ve played a fair amount of games, and all the sudden my Xbox Series S can’t handle Overwatch anymore. I’ll be on a streak of playing maybe an hour or two and after awhile my game will start to lag. When it starts to lag, it goes downhill fast and my game starts to freeze, even when I attempt to press the home button or go onto my Xbox overlay, it’s unresponsive, it’s like the whole console is just bricking up. Then it freezes altogether and I have to restart my console and my console is back to normal. I thought maybe the problem could be something like overheating? Although I made sure to clear the space around my Xbox and have adequate space for air. This literally just happened in a ranked game causing my team to lose, and I even put my Xbox on the windowsill of my open window where it’s literally snowing and freezing out here and it didn’t help. I don’t have a lot of storage space but I do have 50 GB free. Does anyone have any recommendations or have ran into this issue? It’s not like I’m going on 10 hour marathons here, literally happens within the first hour or two, and no other game I play has this problem
