Hello gamers of /r/OSU!

We hope you've all survived your first round of exams and managed to get some time to play a few games in now and then. We're letting you know that we've got a month full of events for all of you and we would love it if you could come and make them!

First off, this weekend of 10th-11th October, we've got two events.

** ~10th October: Extra Life!~**

Come to The Ohio Union on October 10th for a day of gaming For The Kids at Nationwide Children's Hospital! 

We will be hosting one of the biggest gaming events on Ohio State's Campus, and will have Free-Play Areas, Tournaments, Raffles, Board Games, and so much more!

And no worries football fans -- we'll also be showing the Ohio State Football Game so you won't miss a moment of the action!

Help raise money while playing the games you already love to play!

A Quick Overview:

• Console areas with Star Wars Battlefront beta, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, FIFA 16, Halo 3, Halo: Master Chief Collection, Mario Kart 8, and so much more!
  

• ROCK BAND 4 and Just Dance!
  

• LAN/Computer Area with a LoL Tournament and a Hearthstone Tournament
  

• A Nationwide Child Champion, Ian, will be joining us around 7pm to play some games with us!
  

• A Board Game area, in partnership with Kingmakers
  

• Three projectors that will showcase 8-Player Smash Wii U, other tournaments, and of course, The Buckeye Game!

  Outside of the Great Hall Meeting Rooms, we will have a Life-size Jenga set to draw people in, as well as another setup of 8-Player Smash Wii

~11th October: BuckeyeLAN's 3rd Member Hangout!~ We cordially invite you to our third member hangout of the year! This is a free and open event to event so come show up and have fun! All games are welcome so come on out, get to know some gamers, and let's get some in-houses going! Invite anyone you want, this event is open to more than just Ohio State students!

Here are some of the PC games expected to be played below:

We'll have a Smash setup going as well of course (Smash 4 currently) and an Xbox 360. Feel free to bring a setup if you want as well (you'd be responsible for transportation and a TV). We'll also have some people at an info booth if you'd like to learn a bit more about BuckeyeLAN, our upcoming events, or how to help us plan events and be a member of the staff!

The next week is Autumn break! Enjoy your two extra days off! The following week, we have our biggest event of the year:

~24th-25th October: BuckeyeLAN AU15~

BuckeyeLAN's main event is now a two-day event, giving you more time to play all your favorite games!

-- Saturday, Oct 24th Noon-11pm in the Senate Chamber Room -- Sunday, Oct 25th Noon-9pm in the Great Hall

Our big event is two full days of gaming with prized tournaments, free-play games, pizza, soda, and raffle items. Bring a laptop, desktop (you won't be alone!), or play the console games. Come out and have fun! Please note that currently prizing for tournaments is TBD.

• And of course, other games can be brought for free-play!

** Edit on tournaments:

For LoL, Dota 2, and CSGO, please have a team in which you can sign up with. If you do not have a team, as of now you will still be able to sign up individually but you will be randomly placed into a team needing players first come first serve until the tournament starts. ~You must be at a level sufficiently high enough to play ranked in what ever game to signup individually. Example: LoL level must be 30 to signup individually. Sub-30 must signup in advance with a full roster.
