Just bought a new (to me) car a few days ago, stopped by to get wiper blades installed. I usually do all of my own work, but the store associate was kind enough to help put them on. It was a struggle, Tesla has shitty mechanisms that freeze when cold.
The little pocket screwdriver he was using scratched up my windshield a bit, my nail barely catches on it, toothpaste and body rubbing compound will not remove it. I ordered a Cerium Oxide Glass Polishing Kit, which should take care of it, just need to be careful so I don't overheat the glass and break it.
Should I mention anything to the store and ask them to take care of it, or should I let it go and try to fix it myself? On one hand, I'd feel bad saying anything as it was cold as hell outside and I needed the help. On the other, Tesla glass is damn expensive and I'm bummed as I just got the car.
