Hi. I installed a Tesla charger in my driveway, which is roughly 25' outward and below my living room where the Ubee router lives. The charger needs to 'connect' to my wifi. I tried to order an extender on Optimum's website, which shows my router, but just keep getting a message telling me I can't order because I'm not connected. Talk about a cycle of dumb!
There is no real line of sight indoor place to put an extender. Hard to describe but I live in. back house connected to a front house on a steep sloped lot. Driveway way below. The front house is closer to the driveway, and I could plug in an extender there. Would this suffice?
Any suggestions as to what device would play nice with the Ubee?
I did search. As of 8 months ago some were suggesting getting a separate router and modem. That the Optimum gear 'sucks'. One suggested Google Mesh.
Open to any ideas. Maybe this will help others in same mess :-)
