MASSIVE difficulty increase

I've been stuck on B rank for the past few days now. I know it's when you start playing with real people, but the skill gap shouldn't be THIS bad. And it's not just the real people I'm having trouble against, but the bots seem to be way tankier. I could barely even scratch a Sengoku now. Oh, and sometimes I get matched with people who purposely lower their rank too.
Anything I can do to improve my setup?
