This is a question I've wanted to ask ever since they started the podcast.
They are super critical about so much on the show and how it was written and run. There aren't many storylines or episodes that they absolutely love.
Obviously there were many issues behind the scenes that color their view on the show looking back. And I get that.
BUT...I LOVE this show. The writers/creator may have been terrible, but that wasn't public knowledge when I originally watched it in 2003! I love the characters and stories still to this day.
My main point is this: if they got their way and they could go back in time and fix every character and story they don't like and made it politically correct and made all the characters make better decisions...the show would NOT be the same at all! There's just something with this show and the way it was done that just hits home to me. The creators, as bad as they may have been, did something right when they made this. And I feel it right from the start of the pilot!
It was messy at times...like real life when you're a teenager! I wish they could sometimes give it the benefit of the doubt.
So...those of you who listen to the podcast: The Drama Queens are very critical of the writing and characters on the show. Do you think the show would be better if they could go back in time and change all the things they dislike from the podcast?
I personally don't think so. Of course they have their reasons, but the show is good for what it is (aside from SOME terrible storylines! lol).
Ohhh I remember everwood
And the show “jack and Bobby”

If Haley got an abortion, that is actually something a teenager would consider
That storyline would not be wild
In the show, abortion wasn’t even discussed which is actually more weird
