Fastened between my memory

Setting pedestal to hope

When I listen to them

I uncoil recollections

Of stable truths;
Soothing imagery

I wield them as weaponry

Challenging the vagrant beast

Who walks into hushed thoughts

So causally with doubts

And thus; it is demoted

By simple, powerful words
And if it rears my mind again

I’ll settle the battle, unheard
