Every time before I left

I’d give you a kiss on your forehead

I’d whisper to you one thing

“I love you to the moon and back”

A smile would light up your face

“That’s so corny” you’d say

Trying to hold back your laugh

A tight hug wishing I didn’t have to let you go

Every day with you is a great day

I let you go and can’t help but laugh

There’s a sign on the wall

Saying I love you to the moon and back

Short simple and I want to fill up a notebook with more poems like this so criticism is greatly appreciated.
