Once there was this firefly lit night and
Moonlight was landing silvery shadowed
Flourescence on your sharp face, retreating
Out into night over the damp grass.
And in that moment the god is making
And unmaking us, stitching your skin through
My hands, sin dripping thick like nectar, the
Random, desperate bites of forbidden fruit.
When I first loved you, we were holding hands,
Conspiring to Toss your dad in the pool.
Iād reimburse you, if I could, for what
Things my love took from you: a summer night,
Wringing towels, in the dying days of June
