I'm in my neighbourhood café where a stranger catches my eye
I walk over and we bond over caramel frappés and lemon pies
For a second, I can feel your breath on my neck
This stranger and I, we talk about colourful macaroons on display
We pick rose, pistachio and chocolate
And talk about where to head next?
We exit and I see you in the person about to enter
We make our way towards the park and I can hear the leaves rustling
We cosy up on a bench and revel in the unending green
I remember that giant park where it was just you and I
He's telling me about his last vacation to Greece
I think about your unending love of Feta cheese
"Hello? Are you still here, haha?" he asks me
And I'm snapped back to the present
He's lovely, affectionate and funny
But, I can only think of your arms around me
I slip away into his delightful tales
But, I can hear the rattling of your crypt
We get up and go our separate ways
Maybe he'll call me and we'll do this again
But, I think it's time I visited your grave with a spade
And give you the burial I know I crave
