Is cognitive behavioral therapy helpful against OCPD?

Post Body

I have grown tired of my OCPD as it interferes with my academic life to a considerable degree at this point. I am looking to commit to a solution that will alleviate my situation. Medications is obviously not relevant when it comes to OCPD, and I was wondering to what extent is CBT able to help with the symptoms of this disorder.

As there are many other types of therapies out there, I am not sure whether it is wise to just commit to the most well-known one and if I should do some more research on other possible types of therapy that are possibly more tailored for OCPD patients, if they ever exist. If you could share your experience about where you seek help from and how you fight against the symptoms of your disorder, I would much appreciate it.
