It’s on Netflix right now and the way that The Dude deals with life is nice to think about. I wonder how he would deal with an intrusive thought for example. His overall idea is to abide-let things float on by. He’s not a doormat though so if anything goes against something important to him, he tries to resolve that. Anything else such as finding his car at the impound lot smelling like someone slept in it, is a mild annoyance to him but he keeps on going rather than ruminate. The movie also says ‘sometimes the bear gets you and sometimes you get the bear’ which I think is nice for me to remember
Anyway, it’s just something I like to think about. It’s not a treatment by any means and The Dude doesn’t have OCD but his lifestyle is comforting
