Post Body

I have had Anxiety and OCD for most of my life and especially bad in my late Teens and again in the last two years. I was having panic attacks everyday, really bad Pure O as well as feeling depressed. I ended up breaking up with GF due to my slip into "madness" ended up living with my parents at age 30-31 and ended up quitting my job. I had a good psychologist and she told me to go on meds and she recommended a good psychiatrist. I got on Lexapro at the beginning it was hell I got tons of side effects for the first 3 weeks and even 2 months later still had nightmares, felt jittery and got headaches sometimes. But everyday felt slightly better then after about 3 1/2 months I started noticing things didn't bother me as much anymore. Then one day I woke up and just felt like my anxiety was turned down 70% percent.. I still feel anxious but way less. Many times I wanted to quit lexapro or switch meds but its important to stick to it! I feel so much better and feel I can finally get my life back, sure I still feel anxious and OCD but its much more manageable. The two other things that really helped were Stoicism and CBT they only helped after meds took care of the major anxiety I was feeling. Also note I have 0 sexual Side Effects and expect for occasional headaches I feel fine.
