Episodic OCD

I’m curious, does anyone else find that their OCD is episodic? I get caught up in these overwhelming mental funks I have coined in my head as “down weeks.” Where you know there’s this intrusive thought anxious fog over you? I know it will pass but my inability to think as I normally do, or enjoy things as I normally would drives me bananas. Keep hitting myself with the: “this too shall pass” mantra but damn these episodes are no fun. Thoughts?
