OCD trigger: rabies

I’m fixated. I’m obsessed with thinking every encounter is a rabid bat. I was riding on the lawn mower at 6pm the other day. It was 6pm so still daylight and hours away from dusk. Anyhow I felt something hit the back of my head. I immediately felt the back of my head and didn’t feel anything on me. I’m assuming a bay wouldn’t be out during the day. I also assume they have to land on you to bite you, not just bite you on the fly. I’ve been examining my head and I have a small bump so now I’m freaked out. I’ve been doing the no-no of googling and most sites state a rabid bat usually cannot fly and die pretty fast once they are symptomatic and able to pass the virus. So why am I sitting here about to vomit with worry?
