Nuru massage involves slathering the body with a slippery mucus like substance derived from seaweed. The recipient of the massage is covered with the product and the person performing the massage then commences to rub their entire body all over the other persons body using every part to gyrate and contort into every imaginable position to give as much pleasure as possible. It originated in Japan and like all Japanese things it has evolved into a ritualistic ceremony of sorts . This ritual conceals a certain overtone of the erotic and is frowned upon by some and highly regarded by others. Some claim you have not lived until you have had a nuru massage.

I have never experienced one myself but I personally have a high regard for the Japanese and what they can do with seaweed. There seems to be no end of the uses they find for it.

If you wish to perform a nuru massage on a close friend I want to caution you not to use a standard massage table. The risk of one or both of you sliding off the table unto the floor and injuring yourselves is a real possibility. You may need to go into the garage and spread out a large plastic sheeting with a suitable support beneath the protective covering. Some participants in nuru have told me that had a great deal of laundry to do after the experience and things got a bit messy. As for a suitable oil for use in nuru massage I am a bit hesitant to recommend one. However I am not in the least bit hesitant that you find a friend to share a nuru massage with. What an experience it must be to overcome the abrasiveness of life and just slide and flow with another human being. Sounds delightful!
